Our favorite park

Saturdays at our house are usually pajama days but this week we decided to have a picnic at the park instead, it was a beautiful day. The man who parks his ice cream truck in the parking lot of the park is one smart cookie.
There are no picky eaters in our family

we tried to feed the ducks but they just weren't hungry

Ashlynn just liked to watch the ducks.

Miss Ashlynn is 1

Ashlynn had her first brithday party last week, it was a pink ballerina themed party and it was so much fun to have a girly party for once not that there is anything wrong with pirates or transformers or superheros but pink tutus are so much cuter. The cake was so good! She didn't want to smash her "smash" cake so Papa gave her a fork and she sat on my lap and ate her cake like a lady. After a while she sat in her high chair and got just messy enough to get a cute picture
Holden, being the sweet big brother that he is, helped the birthday girl open her gifts. Her favorite was the care bears that nana and papa gave her, she liked everything else too but did NOT like someone trying to touch her new shoes, what can I say she's a girl.
It was such a nice day for us, we enjoyed spending her special day with our family and friends. Her fist year has gone by so fast and I can't believe it has come and gone already. Just one short year ago I was holding her for the first time and now she is running away from me and laughing.

This is our Family

Billy and I met 8 years ago thanks to our good friend Sarah who introduced us. My favorite thing about Billy is that he always makes me laugh and I'm guessing he would say his favorite thing about me is that I fold laundry just the way he likes or my sense of humor, we just sorta get eachother. Mr. William Holden, we call him Holden, at school he goes by William and when asked by strangers what he goes by he replies "you can call me MR. HOLDEN"
Our first born, our son, the one who took us from just a couple to a family, he is in everyway like his father (aside from having red hair), he is smart, witty, sensitive, loving, stubborn, and has more energy than I ever imagined my child could have. He is what some might call a momma's boy when he was a baby he would get mad at his dad for sitting next to me he would climb on the couch and wedge himself inbetween us, if Billy and I are dissagreeing about something he will always tell his Dad that he is wrong and I am right. He is an amazing big brother I never have to ask him to share with Ashlynn and when I call his name and ask what he is doing his reply is usually "I'm keeping an eye on Ashlynn" not bad for a 5 year old.

Miss Ashlynn Mae our little girl. I was so happy when she was born and the doctor said you have a girl and I will never forget his next words "and she has great lungs!!!" Our sweet baby has the most beautiful blue eyes and dimples, she is either smiling or screaming very loud screaming. She is definelty a daddy's girl since the moment she was born, she stopped screaming as soon as she heard his voice aside from him her favorite person (unless she's hungry) is Holden he was the first one to get her to laugh and hasn't stopped she loves to play with him and yells his name from across the room to get his attention, her first steps were to him and his plate of food. She is only one but already has such a personality, she doesn't enjoy riding in her stroller or sitting in a shopping cart she does however enjoy riding with me in her sling I call her my constant companion as much as she love her Daddy and Big Brother nothing beats snuggling with her Mommy.
This is our happy family.
